MR. AND MRS GREGG BOWLING

Gregg and Mary Bowling came to Kansas from Chapman, Nebr. in 1884.  They bought 160 acres of land from Daniel Young.  He had homesteaded it several years before.  It was the southwest quarter section located three and one half miles north of the village of Norway in Norway Township.  They lived there until Mr. Bowling's death in 1913.  Their family was Harley, Ada, Jennie, and Emery.

Mrs. Bowling lived in Belleville from 1913 until 1919.  She then remarried and moved to Manhattan, Kansas.  Jennie married Ed Fraser.  They lived there with their family of five children: Donald Russell, Dale, Mary Pauline and Norma Lee, until 1942 when they moved to Manhattan, Kansas.

Russell, who married Dora Lunblade, continued farming there until after Mrs. Myer's death in 1949.  The farm was sold in 1951.

Their son Dale made the supreme sacrifice for his country in World War II.

Russell Fraser and his wife and family live in Norway.  Their children are Janet, who works in Salina, and Anita, who is a student in Norway Grade School.  Russell operates the Norway Co-op.  Dora is active in church, school and 4-H work in the Norway Community.
