Axel Hedstrom was born in Beaver Township in Republic county in 1880. Miss Jennie Gustavson was born in Iowa in 1884. She moved to Minnesota with her parents. Her father died there and she came to Kansas when a young woman.
In 1909 Jennie was married to Axel Hedstrom. They moved to the Charles Hugos farm and have spent all of their married life there. They now own this farm. Axel and Jennie Hedstrom reared a son and a daughter. Lillian married Ivan Bergstrom. They have a son and three daughters: Lorne, who married Jerry Waite, Juanita, Lenita and Lyle who are in school. One son, Lorraine, is deceased.
Loren Hedstrom married Nona Ames in 1944. He spent two years in the Army during World War II. After being released from service the family moved to Norway whee Loren established a hardware and electric business.
Loren and Nona have two sons and one daughter, Kieth, Lee and Sandra, who are in school.
