BERT AINSWORTH

Bert Ainsworth was born May 7, 1872 in Delaware County Ohio, son of William B. and Marcia Campbell Ainsworth.  He moved as a child to Tobias, Nebraska and later to Republic County Kansas.  On October 27, 1894, Bert Ainsworth and Eva A. Lewis, daughter of Chester and Sphronia Lewis, were married near Norway.  He farmed and taught school at District #48, then moved to Rydal, where he was in the grain business.  Later he moved to Norway.  He engaged in the hardware and banking business.

In 1922 he moved to Concordia where he entered the Real Estate business in which he was active until 1952.  He passed on in 1955.  Mrs. Ainsworth still lives in Concordia.  They were the parents of three children.  Lela, born Sept. 8, 1895, married Iver Erickson May 10, 1916.  They were the parents of five children, Arvidale and John of Topeka, Kansas; Eldon of Washington, D. C.; Donna Marie of Parsons; and Joe of Concordia.  Lela passed away on May 18, 1944 and Iver February 22, 1957.  They spent several years in Norway where Iver was engaged in hardware and grocery business, later moving to Concordia, where he entered real estate.

Dale was born February 24, 1898.  He married Laura Eastvedt June 23, 1920.  Entered the banking business in Norway and now is living in Leawood, Kansas.  Vice President of the National Bank and Trust Company of Kansas City, Missouri.  They were the parents of Robert, deceased, and Aileen, now Mrs. William Van Auken, living in Shawnee, Kansas.  Bertha was born October 23, 1901.  She was married to Dallas B. Fogo of Otego, Kansas, September 14, 1925.  They live in Concordia.
