JOSEPH E. BREWER

Joseph E. Brewer, son of J. A. and Mary Ellen Brewer, was born in Norway Township in 1889.  He attended District 93 and graduated from there in 1905.  He was married to Miss Norma Decker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Decker.  To them were born six sons.  Their mother passed on while the boys were still small.

Joe has been a successful farmer all his life.  Their sons are: Joseph W., who married Lillian May Rock.  They have three sons, Clifford Owen born September 12, 1939, Emporia, Kansas; Gary Joe, born February 13, 1943, Emporia, Kansas; Neal Melvin born November 3, 1948, Concordia, Kansas; and one daughter, Lori, born in Hutchinson, Kansas.

John A. Brewer married Dorothy Moss Albertson June 1942.  One son, John Augustus, was born May 25, 1948, Manhattan, Kansas, and one daughter, Aylo, born in Neodesha.

John A. and Joseph W. are the twin sons of Joseph and Norma Brewer.

John A. lives in Neodesha, Kansas and is a civil engineer.  Joseph William lives in Hutchinson, Kansas, and is Superintendent of Schools there.  Archie N. farmed and operated a large dairy near Norway for several years and is now living near Carthage, Missouri, and farming and operating a dairy there.

Archie N. married Irene M. Aaker in 1942 and they have three girls and three boys, all in school except Joey.  The children are Archie Norma, Jr., born February 6, 1944; Volley Emylan, October 30, 1947; Irene Marie, December 15, 1948; Mark Howard, January 10, 1952; Mary Ellen, April 16, 1955; and Joseph Eugene, October 11, 1956.

Clifford Owen lives in Roseville, California where he is a railroad engineer.

Melvin lives in Manhattan, Kansas, and owns and operates a cafe there.

Dean D. married Irma Ames.  They have two children, Dana and Diann.  They live on a farm on Route 2, Concordia, Kansas.

Walter, son of John A. and Mary Ellen Brewer, was born in Norway Township in 1888.  He is married and lives in Sacramento, California, where he operates a large wholesale electric store.
