MR. AND MRS. EDD JACOBSON

"August Edward Jacobson was born January 28, 1838 and Eugenia Larson was born December 24, 1858 in Bogas Lan in Norway Europe and came to this country in 1867.

They were married December 19, 1876.  They lived in a dugout in Cloud County for two years then ehty moved to the farm in Norway where they spent the rest of their lives.

These children were born to them: Fred Jacobson, Agnes Nystrom, Lillie Thompson, Ruby Clayton, Arthur Jacobson and Russell Jacobson.  This couple was among the last of the pioneers who came and stayed.  Together they endured the hardships of those early pioneer days.  They watched the sod house disappear to be replaced by the more modern home.  They saw the buffalo trail and the ox team gradually give way to the motor vehicle.  Edward Jacobson passed away May 18, 1929.  Eugenia passed away July 29, 1929."
