ENGVALD DYRDAHL

Engvald Dyrdahl was born in Bergen Norway, in Europe, January 3, 1888.  He had five brothers and two sisters.  His parents, three brothers and one sister are now deceased.  He came to Jamestown, Kansas in 1907 and to Norway Township a short time later.  In 1914 he was married to Miss Bertha Rimol, daughter of Ann Lehn Rimol and Rasmus Rimol.  They reared one adopted son, Kermit.  He enlisted in the Army Air Corps shortly after graduating from Norway High School.  He is a veteran of World War II and is not retired.  Kermit and his family have been stationed in Texas but will now live in Louisiana.  Bertha died in 1951; all her family is deceased except one sister, Dr. Anna Rimol.

Mr. Dyrdahl made three trips back to his old home.  In 1924, 1953, and in 1954 when he married Miss Konnie Mulen.  She was born in Bergen in 1908 and she has one brother and one sister in Bergen.  They arrived home shortly after their marriage to make their home on his farm southwest of Norway.  He is a retired farmer.
