CLARENCE'S DAUGHTERS' HISTORY

Sent by Mabel Bockhoven

Owen F. Brewer was born November 12, 1878 and came with his parents and brothers to Kansas and to Norway Township in 1886.  He attended District 93 (Fairview) and Campbell University in Holton, Kansas, then taught school in Fairview and Hungry Hollow districts.

In 1903 he was married to Miss Brynhild Rimol, and they made their home in Norway all of their married life.

Owen had a general merchandise store and Post Office in Norway for twelve years, grain elevator for twenty-three years, and a lumber yard until his retirement in 1950.  He was an extensive land owner and after retirement, spent his time looking after the farms and caring for his home and surroundings.  He was never idle.  He passed away in 1956 in a tragic automobile accident.  He was 81 years old.
