A number of other clubs and societies have been attended that are now discontinued as follows: Golden Rule Club for Lutheran Young People, Sunflower - a high school club, WCTU Temperance Club, Old Settlers of
Southwest Republic County, Year Round Literary Club of Southwest Norway Township.
Grange was a farmers' organization in the '70s and '80s where farmers discussed their methods of work and families visited. It was very popular for some time and was interesting to both men and women.
Boy Scouts have discontinued though a very worthwhile organization. Farm children have may things to be done and learn many things connected with farming that Boy Scouts get in their training.
